This was our first (and as of 2015 only) century ride. The route is very flat, but it was quite windy. I started to crash in the last few miles, but Anne convinced me to keep going.

We had decided to do this organized ride. The forecast called for rain, so we went out and bought a ton of rain gear and did the ride anyways. Wet times were had.
Old La Honda Climb of Death
Written years later…
We had heard about Old La Honda, and decided to give it a try. We weren’t smart enough to start until 2pm, though. By the time we got back, it was dark, I hadn’t brought my headlight, and Anne’s battery was dying.
We still talk about this ride whenever things get tough.
